1. What is CLOTGONE® product?

A: CLOTGONE® is a unique dietary supplement formulated with functional RYR and phytosterols. It is the latest generation of natural health product with a variety of functions. The scientific formulation significantly enhances the absorption of the various active ingredients in the body. As indicated by scientific research and years of clinical use, the product has been proven to be effective in reducing levels of total cholesterol, low density cholesterol LDL and triglyceride in the blood, maintaining healthy levels of cholesterol HDL, removing stasis, improving blood circulation and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. 2. What are phytosterols and their effect on human Health?

A: Phytosterols or stanols are a large number of compounds found exclusively in fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. They are structurally similar to cholesterol. Many studies have confirmed the role of phytosterols in lowering cholesterol, preventing coronary heart disease and treating rheumatoid arthritis. The main mechanism is through intake competition and interference of the plant sterols with cholesterol to prevent cholesterol from absorption in intestinal tract. Since high levels of total and LDL cholesterol are the major risk factor for coronary heart disease and other diseases associated with atherosclerosis, lowering cholesterol levels will reduce the risk of the diseases. In addition, phytosterols also have strong anti-cancer effects, including inhibiting cell division, stimulating tumor cell death and modifying hormones required in tumor growth.

3. Why is CLOTGONE® superior to other RYR products currently on the market? Why should I choose CLOTGONE® for RYR product rather than other brands?

A: CLOTGONE® is superior to other common red yeast products on the market for the following reasons. 1) The functional RYR for CLOTGONE® formulation is different from the ordinary RYR sold in grocery stores or certain health products. It was prepared by controlling solid-state fermentation using special strains obtained through patented advanced microbial technology. The functional RYR has a relatively high level of the following natural active ingredients, whereas the ordinary RYR contains no or only trace amounts: monacolin K open-ring acid, unsaturated fatty acids, ergosterol, flavonoids, glucosamine and aminobutyl acid. These ingredients work synergistically to achieve CLOTGONE® activity. A: The symptoms of headache, dizziness, palpitation, chest tightness and limb numbness that cerebral thrombosis or coronary heart patients usually experience are directly related to lack of blood and oxygen in the vessels of organs. CLOTGONE® is rich in natural active ingredients such as monakolin K open-ring acid and can effectively remove blood waste, reduce blood viscosity, and relieve hardening of the arteries, thereby improving the supply of blood and oxygen in organs. Therefore, the above symptoms can be gradually relieved if taking CLOTGONE® in a certain period of time. In addition, CLOTGONE® can repair blood vessels and restore blood vessel elasticity. 5. Are there any side effects of functional RYR and CLOTGONE®?

A: Scientific evidence from extensive studies demonstrates the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of RYR. RYR is generally safe for most people when taken orally for up to 4.5 years. Approximately 1-2% of people taking RYR products may experience side effects which include headache, dizziness, heartburn, gas, digestive tract discomfort, upset stomach, and muscle and liver problems. Some types of RYR products may contain trace of toxic substances such as citrinin so that the side effects may become more severe. With regard to CLOTGONE®, to much less extent, and much less people usually experience the above side effects due to citrinin free and high quality of the product.

6. In case I experience side effects after taking CLOTGONE®, what should I do?

A: In case you are among the 1-2% of people and experience the side effects, it is suggested that you take the following actions: 1) Make sure that you take CLOTGONE® capsules with food and drink at least 2 cups of water or other drinks (> 500 mL). The best way to avoid the stomach irritation is to eat food before and after taking CLOTGONE® capsules to reduce the side effects by minimizing RYR’s contact with internal wall of stomach. 2) The side effects usually only occur in the first 1-2 days. They become milder or disappear after a few days. Therefore, do not give up if experiencing some of the side effects. 3)  You can reduce the dosage from 2 capsules a time, 2 times a day to 1 capsule a time, 2 times a day or just 1 capsule a day. After a few days when feeling better, go back to the normal dosage of 4 capsules a day. 4) If you experience a very severe interaction or other side effects not mentioned above, or if the interaction persists even after reducing the dosage, call your healthcare practitioner right away for medical advice.

7. Who should take CLOTGONE®?

A: Young, middle-aged or elderly adults who are concerned about maintaining desirable cholesterol levels and improving blood circulation for whom the doctor has determined that dietary supplementation rather than medical treatment is appropriate. Especially those who are sensitive to and do not want to take statins for their conditions.

8. Why is it important to maintain healthy cholesterol levels?

A: The health of the brain, the heart and the cardiovascular system, and the function of other organs depend on the unobstructed flow of blood for the delivery of oxygen and nutrients, and the removal of harmful metabolites and waste. High levels of cholesterol, particularly LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, are implicated in a vicious process in which blood flow is restricted by cholesterol-related plaque in the vessels. This can result in reduced flow of blood (and oxygen) to the brain, heart, and other organs. Conversely, HDL (“good”) cholesterol may help remove excess cholesterol from the blood and facilitate regression of plaque resulting in improved blood flow to vital organs. Therefore, it is important to reduce LDL level and increase HDL level.

9. How does CLOTGONE® work?

A: 80% of the cholesterol in the body is produced by the liver. The remaining portion of cholesterol comes from dietary consumption of foods containing cholesterol. The naturally occurring HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors in CLOTGONE® plays a role in the body by inhibiting the production of the body’s own cholesterol. In addition, scientific research and clinical application confirmed that other major components, phytosterols, in CLOTGONE® also have a good lipid-lowering effect, and it is through the interference of intestinal mucosal cholesterol to prevent cholesterol from the intestinal absorption. Thus, the functions of CLOTGONE® are actually the result of synergistic effects of various natural active ingredients.

10. How can I know that CLOTGONE® is effective? How long must I take CLOTGONE® before I realize the cholesterol lowering benefits?

A: The product is significantly effective. It is a natural health product with multiple functions including regulating blood lipids, removing clots and improving blood circulation. It helps reduce risk of cardiovascular diseases. Due to synergistic effects of many natural active ingredients, it is also shown clinically that the product helps with anti-cancer, anti-aging, removal of acne and freckles, turning white hairs to black, and improving skin diseases, diabetes and cold hands and feet, etc.

You can take your blood test for total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides before starting to take CLOTGONE®. After taking it for a period of time, take your blood test again to compare with the previous results. Generally to say, you will observe reduced levels of total and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, and increased HDL level after 4 weeks. Obviously you will experience more significant effect after using the product for a longer time. The optimum results will usually occur after 12 weeks of dietary supplementation with CLOTGONE®.

11. What is Citrinin and is it in CLOTGONE® product?

A: Citrinin is a nephrotoxin that can cause damage to the kidneys. Because no quantitive guidelines have been set, many companies have citrinin in their finalized products. In testing, citrinin is not detectable at 1ppm (parts per million), so we went even further and had ours tested at 200 ppb (parts per billion), which is the most precise capability of the analytical method being used. The test results show “None Detected”. This makes CLOTGONE® very safe to use.

12. Can CLOTGONE® be used as an alternative for statin drugs for statin-intolerant patients?

A: Physicians report a significant percentage of patients who either can’t or won’t take statin drugs like Lipitor, Crestor or generic statins due to their significant side effects such as joint or muscle pain, headache and rash. In comparison, CLOTGONE® is proven to be free of such severe side effects and is suitable for long-term use for most people. This is because it contains ingredient open-ring acid of monacolin K which can be directly absorbed by human cell mucosa and work without need to hydrolyze in the liver and kidney, and citrinin-free functional RYR is used for manufacturing of CLOTGONE®. Since it is significantly effective on regulating blood lipids, removing clots and improving blood circulation, it can be used as an alternative for statin drugs for statin-intolerant patients. 13. Should I take CLOTGONE® along with cholesterol-lowering drugs?

A: CLOTGONE® should not be taken with any cholesterol-lowering medications known as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins).

14. Why does CLOTGONE® have antihypertensive effect?

A: Monacolin K open-ring acid and other ingredients of CLOTGONE® can effectively reduce total and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, remove lots of waste in blood, and reduce blood viscosity. This will reduce damage of low density lipoprotein on vascular endothelial cell (VEC), inhibit proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cell and slow hardening of arteries. Therefore, it can reduce blood pressure smoothly.

15. Why can CLOTGONE® prevent myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction?

A: Similar to vascular growth factor (VEGF), monakolin K open-ring acid and other active ingredients of CLOTGONE® can promote vascular endothelial cell differentiation, increase the number of endothelial cells and ensure their integrity, prevent and inhibit vascular plaque formation; In addition, since atherosclerotic plaque shedding is the main cause of myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction, and plaque shedding is mainly resulted by plaque activity inflammation (i.e., macrophage phagocytosis of cholesterol), the active ingredients of CLOTGONE® can effectively reduce the total cholesterol and low density cholesterol LDL and triglyceride levels, inhibit C-reactive protein activity, so that activity of macrophages in atherosclerotic plaques decreases and plaque stability increases, thereby incidence of atherosclerotic plaque shedding is reduced and myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction are prevented.

16. In the past I often feel dizzy, cold hands and feet, numbness and even spasm. After taking only 2 bottles of CLOTGONE®, the symptoms completely disappeared. Shall I continue to take to avoid their happening again?

A: CLOTGONE® can not only reduce total and LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels, but also make the blood vessels smooth and elastic. Your condition shows that your blood vessels are gradually cleaned, the blood circulation, especially the blood supply of your heart and brain has been improved. In order to improve further and avoid reoccurring of the symptoms, we suggest that you continue to take to improve your cardiovascular and cerebrovascular sub-health status. CLOTGONE® has no side effects for majority of people and can be administered for a long term.

17. Are there drug interactions of CLOTGONE®? What precautions should I take?

A: No interaction generally. However, it is impossible for us to know all the interactions that can occur when taking CLOTGONE® along with drugs. Some precautions are suggested as follows. If you are currently on a prescription medication (or have a medical condition), we always recommend that you consult with a doctor prior to taking any of our products. If you are on Coumadin (or any anticoagulant medication), immunosuppressive drugs, or a cholesterol-lowering drug, we do not recommend that you take CLOTGONE®. Do not take CLOTGONE® if you have a history of, or are at risk of, liver disease. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. In addition, CLOTGONE® should not be consumed by people who are allergic to soy or rice products.
